On 6th-8th March, the 2nd Training School of HAPLO-iPS “Basics of pharmaceutical grade manufacturing of iPSC for clinical translation” organized by the Cell and Advanced Cell Therapy Service (STCA) of Banc de Sang i Teixits (BST) took place in Barcelona.
The meeting was opened by Dr. Joaquim Vives (local organizer), senior researcher at the STCA BST.
The TS consisted of theorical training about iPSC-based therapy preclinical development, regulatory and quality requirements for clinical application and quality control in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). A practical session about cleanroom gowning and aseptic procedures was also included in the TS, as well as a practice about acceptance of starting materials and batch release.
